March 2018–It was just after Code Red’s last scheduled competition of the season at East Kentwood in Week 5 of the competitions. We had started the competition with some robot difficulties which improved as the event progressed, and ended up feeling like we had not reached our fullest potential yet with our 2018 robot. We also had yet to win the Chairman’s Award for the season. Thus, we decided we would go to one more event in Shepherd before the regular season was done. It would give us an opportunity to improve on the driving of our robot as well as one more opportunity to present for the Chairman’s Award. Our efforts paid off at Shepherd not only with having more success with our robot, but in being selected to receive the Chairman’s Award with our theme “Relentless”!
